# Install the app

The Joonow app is the website itself, installed on your phone's home screen. It needs no app store, takes up almost no space and updates itself.

## On Android

- After you have used the site for a while, Joonow may show a discreet invitation to install it. Tap install and confirm.
- If the invitation does not appear, open Chrome's **⋮** menu and tap **Install app** (in some versions, **Add to Home screen**).

If you dismiss the invitation, it will not come back any time soon.

## On iPhone and iPad

1. Open Joonow in **Safari**.
2. Tap **Share**, the square with an arrow pointing up.
3. Choose **Add to Home Screen** and confirm.

## What changes with the app

- It opens straight to the search, full screen, without the browser bar.
- The site's design and the last public pages you visited work even without internet. Signed-in pages and your account data are never stored on the device.
- You can receive [job alerts](/en/help/job-alerts) as notifications, if you allow them. On iPhone, notifications require iOS 16.4 or later and the app installed on the Home Screen.

## How to uninstall

The same way as any other app: touch and hold the icon and choose remove or uninstall. Your account still exists and you can keep using Joonow in the browser as usual.
