# Privacy and your data

Joonow follows Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD). Here is a summary; the full text is in the [privacy policy](/en/privacy-policy).

## The essentials

- **You do not need an account to search for jobs.** Public pages use no advertising or tracking cookies.
- **We do not sell personal data.**
- **Your résumé only goes to a company when you apply to one of its jobs.** From then on, the company is also responsible for that data.
- AI search receives only the search text, without your account data. See [AI search](/en/help/ai-search).

## Your rights

Under the LGPD, you can ask at any time for:

- confirmation that we process your data, and access to it;
- correction of wrong or outdated data;
- a copy of your data to take to another service (portability);
- deletion of your data, including your whole account;
- information about whom we share your data with;
- withdrawal of consent, for example for email alerts.

## How to make a request

Write to us through [Contact us](/en/contact#privacy) (topic Privacy and data requests), saying what you would like. We may ask you to confirm your identity to protect you. We reply within 15 days.

You can handle a lot yourself in your account: edit your profile, delete alerts and remove saved jobs. To delete everything, see [delete account](/en/help/delete-account).

## Cookies and data on your device

The only cookie on public pages stores your language, and it only appears when you switch languages. A few things are stored only in your browser, such as recent searches and the copy of pages the app uses offline. All of this is explained in the [cookie policy](/en/cookie-policy).
