Software Engineer – Full Stack
About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a product-focused engineering team responsible for building and maintaining web, mobile, and internal platforms.
In this role, you will develop and maintain full-stack features across web applications and APIs, working within a small product team. You will have ownership of features throughout the entire development lifecycle, from initial design and implementation to production deployment.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js, along with a solid understanding of backend development, databases, testing, and modern deployment practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
- Develop, maintain, and support REST and GraphQL APIs using Node.js.
- Design database schemas and write efficient queries using PostgreSQL.
- Implement caching solutions using Redis.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using tools such as Jest, Vitest, and Playwright.
- Containerize applications and services using Docker.
- Deploy and manage services on AWS EKS using Helm and GitHub Actions.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues using Datadog.
- Integrate applications with third-party platforms and external APIs.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, technical discussions, and production support activities.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining production applications using React.
- Experience developing and maintaining REST or GraphQL APIs with Node.js.
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Git, version control, and pull request workflows.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate within a small engineering team and take ownership of features from development through production.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Helm, or AWS services, particularly EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, and ECR.
- Experience with an ORM such as TypeORM.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS and component libraries such as Radix UI or shadcn/ui.
- Experience with React Query or similar data-fetching libraries.
- Previous experience working with high-traffic or transactional systems, such as ticketing platforms, e-commerce applications, or payment systems.
