These terms apply to anyone who uses Joonow: the website, the installed app, the API, the MCP server, the emails and any other channel of ours. By using Joonow, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Joonow is offered to people and companies in the countries of the Americas. In the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, you can only view jobs: creating an account, applying, creating alerts and ads are not available.
Joonow is operated by HERO TECNOLOGIA LTDA, CNPJ 23.073.946/0001-83, headquartered in Brazil.
What Joonow is
Joonow is a website for searching jobs in the Americas. We gather jobs posted on career sites, applicant tracking systems (ATS) and by companies themselves, and show them all in one place.
- Joonow is not the employer, nor an employment agency. Each job belongs to a company, which decides whom to hire. We take no part in the selection or the hiring.
- Searching and applying for jobs is free for job seekers. We never charge candidates, in any country.
- You can apply in three places:
- on the site where the job was posted (the button takes you there);
- right here, when the company posted the job directly on Joonow;
- right here, with your application sent to the company's recruitment system, when the company receives applications through an integration with Joonow.
- Searching for jobs does not require an account. An account is needed to apply, save jobs to your account, create alerts and use the AI-powered tools.
- Each job appears in the language it was posted in. Joonow does not translate the job ad.
Who can use Joonow
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Where the law of your country allows work before that age (for example, as an apprentice from age 14 in Brazil), you may use Joonow from that age, with the authorization of your parent or guardian.
- If you are under 18, use Joonow with the knowledge of your parent or guardian.
- Company accounts can only be created by people aged 18 or over who can act on behalf of the company.
Your account
- Account information must be true and yours.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done with your account.
- Tell us through Contact us if you suspect misuse.
- You can delete your account at any time, as explained in our help center.
For job seekers
- No legitimate company charges you to take part in a hiring process. If anyone asks you for money, unusual documents or bank details before you are hired, do not send them and report the job.
- Applying through Joonow: when you confirm, you ask and authorize us to send your résumé, your profile data and your answers to the company that posted the job. From then on, the company is also responsible for that data, under its own privacy policy.
- Application sent to the company's recruitment system: when the company receives applications through a system integrated with Joonow, before sending we show you the company's name, the system that will receive the application and what will be sent. When you confirm, you ask Joonow to deliver the application to that system, which will register you there on the company's behalf. The details are in the privacy policy.
- Applying on the company's site: that site's terms and privacy policy apply.
- You decide what you send. Do not put data the job does not ask for in your résumé, such as ID documents, bank details or health information.
For companies
By creating a company account or posting jobs, you state that you may act on behalf of the company and you agree to:
- post only real, open jobs with accurate information, including the country and city where the work takes place (or where the person can work from, if the job is remote);
- never charge candidates anything, at any stage;
- comply with the law of the job's country, including the rules on equal treatment, salary disclosure and minimum working age;
- not post discriminatory content (based on origin, race, color, ethnicity, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, marital status, pregnancy or any other reason prohibited by law);
- not use Joonow to sell products, courses, pyramid schemes or anything that is not a job;
- use candidates' data only for the hiring process, in accordance with the applicable data protection law (such as the LGPD in Brazil). For that data, the company is the controller and is accountable for how it uses it;
- if you use the compatibility score, leave the decision on each candidate to a person and comply with local rules on automated hiring tools (such as bias audits and notices to candidates);
- have a legal basis for adding or importing candidates in the company area. In that case, Joonow processes the data only on the company's behalf and according to its instructions.
We may remove jobs and suspend accounts that break these rules, without prior notice when candidates are at risk.
Partners and recruitment systems
Applicant tracking systems (ATS), career sites and other partners that send jobs to Joonow or receive applications from it also follow the ATS integration terms. Companies that buy sponsorship follow the sponsorship terms, and anyone who uses the API or the MCP server follows the API terms.
About the jobs
- Jobs come from companies and partners. We check jobs at the source frequently and remove the ones that have closed, but we do not guarantee that all information is complete or correct.
- We show a salary only when the employer provides it. We do not present estimates as data.
- We do not guarantee that you will be contacted or hired.
- We may refuse, reformat or remove any job, for example when we suspect fraud, a duplicate or a job that has already closed.
How we rank jobs
In search, the default order is by relevance. The main criteria are:
- how well the job matches what you searched for (job title, words in the ad, company and the meaning of the search);
- the location and, when you choose a radius, the distance;
- the posting date (newer jobs rank higher);
- the quality of the ad: salary provided, full description, verified company and a checked application link.
You can change the order to "Newest", "Highest salary" or "Nearest". Sponsored jobs appear separately, labeled "Sponsored", and payment never changes the order of the other jobs. Sponsorship details are in the sponsorship terms.
Ads
Search and job pages show third-party ads, served by Google, labeled as ads and kept separate from the jobs. We do not control or vouch for what is advertised, and we block categories that often mislead job seekers (paid courses that promise a job, "income opportunities", gambling, loans and multi-level marketing). If an ad asks you for money to get a job or looks like a scam, report it through Contact us. Ad personalization follows the privacy policy and the cookie policy.
AI-powered search
When you type your search in your own words, an artificial intelligence model turns the sentence into filters (job title, location, work model and others). The interpretation can be wrong: check the filters shown on screen and adjust them if needed. Learn more in how AI search works.
AI compatibility score
Companies may use the compatibility score: artificial intelligence compares the résumé, profile and answers of the person applying with the job's requirements and shows a score with the reasons, so the company can organize its list. When a job uses the score, the candidate is told before applying. The score never rejects anyone on its own: the decision is always made by a person at the company. The candidate can ask for an explanation of the score and for a review by a person. Where the law requires an audit or prior notice for this kind of tool, it only works in compliance with those rules. The details are in the privacy policy.
Content you post
Company reviews, company pages, jobs and other content you post remain yours. So that Joonow can work, you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, display, reformat and distribute that content in the service and in job distribution channels, while it is published (and in backups, for as long as they are kept). You guarantee that you have the right to post what you submit.
Reports, moderation and appeals
- To report a job, a review or other content that is illegal or breaks these terms, use the "Report" button on the page itself or Contact us. Tell us where the content is and why it is a problem. We review reports carefully and promptly.
- When we remove or restrict your content or your account, we explain the reason, what was done and how to appeal, unless the law or an order from an authority prohibits us from telling you.
- To appeal a decision of ours, or the rejection of a report, write to us through Contact us within 6 months. The appeal is reviewed by a person who, when possible, is not the one who made the decision.
- Accounts that frequently post illegal content or frequently make unfounded reports may be suspended for a period, after a warning.
- We notify the authorities when we become aware of something that suggests a crime against someone's life or safety.
Points of contact: people and authorities can reach Joonow through Contact us, in Portuguese, English or Spanish.
What is not allowed
- Trying to bypass security, overload or disrupt Joonow.
- Collecting data in bulk in a way that harms the service, or collecting personal data of candidates, recruiters or reviewers. Robots and search engines must respect
robots.txtand usage limits; to use job data at scale, use the API. - Using Joonow to send spam, scams or illegal content.
- Impersonating another person or company.
Intellectual property
The Joonow brand, the website design and the software are ours. The text of each job belongs to whoever posted it. You are welcome to share links to our pages.
Links to other websites
When you click "Continue on the company site", you leave Joonow. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
Availability and changes to the service
We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and some of them may not be available in every country or language. If we shut down the service, we will notify account holders in advance and give them time to download their data.
Limitation of liability
Joonow is provided as is. We do our best to keep the service available and the jobs up to date, but interruptions and errors can happen. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for hiring decisions, for content posted by companies or for losses caused by third-party websites.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law does not allow to be excluded, such as for willful misconduct, gross negligence or harm to life and health, nor the rights that the consumer protection law of your country guarantees you.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Joonow and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, with notice and the reason, as explained in "Reports, moderation and appeals".
Privacy
How we use your data is explained in the privacy policy and the cookie policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we will notify account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect, except when the change comes from the law or is urgent to protect users.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. The courts of São José do Rio Preto/SP have jurisdiction, except where the law guarantees you the right to sue in your place of residence, as in consumer relationships.
If you live outside Brazil and use Joonow as a consumer, the choice of Brazilian law does not take away the protection that the mandatory laws of your country give you, and you can go to the courts of your country when the law allows it.
Language
These terms are available in Portuguese, English and Spanish. If the versions differ, the Portuguese version prevails, unless the law of your country requires otherwise.
