These terms apply to the company that buys the sponsorship of a job on Joonow (the "buyer"). Sponsorship is sold, and the invoice is issued, by HERO TECNOLOGIA LTDA, CNPJ 23.073.946/0001-83, headquartered in Brazil. They complement the terms of use and the privacy policy, which remain in force. This is a translation; if the versions differ, the Portuguese version prevails.

What sponsorship is

Sponsorship highlights a job, for a period, in Joonow searches and job title pages.

  • Only for similar searches. The sponsored job appears when the search has a term that matches the job title (or the company name) and the chosen filters, such as city and work model.
  • Always labeled. The job shows the "Sponsored" badge and its links carry the sponsored-link attribute.
  • At most two per page. When more sponsored jobs match a search, they take turns throughout the day.
  • The regular order does not change. The job keeps its own place in the list, like any other job.
  • No promised results. Sponsorship increases the job's exposure, but does not guarantee a number of views, clicks, applications or hires.

Posting jobs on Joonow is still free. Sponsorship is optional.

Packages and prices

  • Packages last 7, 15 or 30 days, with a fixed price in Brazilian reais shown on screen before the purchase.
  • Prices may change for future purchases. An order already placed keeps the price of the day it was placed.
  • One package covers one job. Each job has one sponsorship at a time.
  • Sponsorship is a one-time purchase: it does not renew on its own, there are no recurring charges and no card is stored to charge again.

Purchase and payment

  • The purchase is made in the company area by someone with the owner or administrator role for the company on Joonow.
  • Pix: a charge with a QR code and a copy-and-paste code, valid for the period shown on screen. Processed by C6 Bank.
  • Boleto: with the due date shown on screen. Confirmation depends on bank clearing, which can take up to three business days. Processed by Vindi.
  • Credit card: payment happens in Vindi's secure checkout. Card details are typed there and never go through Joonow.
  • An order not paid on time expires on its own. While the order is open, the buyer can create a new charge or switch the payment method.

Invoice

  • The service invoice (NFS-e) is issued after the payment is confirmed, with the billing details provided by the buyer.
  • The buyer is responsible for the accuracy of those details. An invoice issued with wrong details provided by the buyer may not be replaced.
  • The invoice PDF and XML can be downloaded in the company area.

Review before going live

  • After payment, the job goes through an automatic fraud-risk check and Joonow's moderation, usually within one business day.
  • The period starts when the job goes live, not at payment: the buyer gets every day it paid for.
  • If the sponsorship is rejected in the review, the amount paid is refunded in full.

Rules for sponsored jobs

The sponsored job must follow the terms of use. In particular, it must:

  • be a real, open job of the buyer itself;
  • charge nothing to applicants;
  • not discriminate by age, gender, race, disability, religion or any other ground prohibited by law;
  • have correct information about the title, location, salary and how to apply.

Joonow may suspend the sponsorship when the job receives reports, when fraud is suspected or when the job goes offline (for example, paused by the buyer). When the suspension ends and the job is back, the time it was paused is added to the end of the period.

Joonow may cancel the sponsorship, without refund, when the job breaks these rules or the terms of use. If the buyer closes the job before the end of the period, the sponsorship ends with it, without a refund of the remaining days.

Metrics

  • The company area shows, per day, the impressions and clicks on the sponsored placement and the clicks on the job's "Apply" button during the sponsorship.
  • The numbers are aggregated and do not identify people. Bots and repeated visits in a short time are not counted, so the numbers are approximate.

Refund policy

Situation Refund
The buyer gives up before the sponsorship goes live Full
The sponsorship is rejected in the review Full, no request needed
Joonow fails to deliver the sponsorship through its own fault (the site down for more than 24 hours in a row, for example) Pro rata for the days not delivered, or the days back, at the buyer's choice
The sponsorship is suspended and later goes live again No refund: the paused time is added to the end of the period
The buyer pauses or closes the job No refund of the remaining days
The sponsorship is canceled for breaking these rules or the terms of use No refund

How to ask: through Contact us, with the order number. We reply within 5 business days.

How the money comes back:

  • Pix: returned to the same account that paid.
  • Card: a refund on the card statement, within the card issuer's timeframe.
  • Boleto: a bank transfer to an account in the buyer's name (the same CNPJ or CPF as the invoice).

The refund is made within 10 business days after approval. The invoice for the refunded amount is canceled when the city allows it; when it does not, we issue the document the city requires.

Card chargebacks

If the buyer disputes the payment with the card issuer, the sponsorship is suspended until the dispute is resolved. If the dispute is accepted, the sponsorship is canceled.

Responsibilities

  • The buyer is responsible for the job content and the hiring process.
  • Joonow is responsible for delivering the purchased highlight as described above and is not responsible for hiring decisions, third-party website content or the outcome of the hiring process.
  • To the extent permitted by law, Joonow's liability for an order is limited to the amount paid for it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. Changes apply to purchases made after the update; a sponsorship already paid follows the terms in force on the purchase date.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. The courts of São José do Rio Preto/SP have jurisdiction.
