You can delete your account whenever you want. Before you do, it helps to know what happens to each thing.
How to delete it
- In your account: sign in to Joonow, open your account settings and use the delete option. We ask for confirmation to avoid deleting by mistake.
- Through Contact us: if you cannot sign in, write to us through Contact us (topic Privacy and data requests), using your account's email address. We may ask you to confirm your identity.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, résumé and uploaded files.
- Saved jobs.
- Job alerts: they stop immediately, and you no longer receive emails or notifications.
- My analyses: the results of the AI tools.
- Sign-in data, such as the link to Google, Microsoft, Apple or LinkedIn.
Account data is deleted within 30 days. Backups are overwritten within the same period.
What does not depend on us
- Applications already sent through Joonow: the company that received your résumé keeps it, under its own privacy policy. To ask for deletion, contact the company directly.
- Applications made on the company's site: they were made outside Joonow, so deletion must be requested on that site.
- Access logs: the law requires us to keep these logs for 6 months, even after deletion.
Just need a break?
If the problem is the emails, you do not need to delete everything: just delete or pause your job alerts. Every alert email also has a one-click unsubscribe link.
