The Joonow app is the website itself, installed on your phone's home screen. It needs no app store, takes up almost no space and updates itself.
On Android
- After you have used the site for a while, Joonow may show a discreet invitation to install it. Tap install and confirm.
- If the invitation does not appear, open Chrome's ⋮ menu and tap Install app (in some versions, Add to Home screen).
If you dismiss the invitation, it will not come back any time soon.
On iPhone and iPad
- Open Joonow in Safari.
- Tap Share, the square with an arrow pointing up.
- Choose Add to Home Screen and confirm.
What changes with the app
- It opens straight to the search, full screen, without the browser bar.
- The site's design and the last public pages you visited work even without internet. Signed-in pages and your account data are never stored on the device.
- You can receive job alerts as notifications, if you allow them. On iPhone, notifications require iOS 16.4 or later and the app installed on the Home Screen.
How to uninstall
The same way as any other app: touch and hold the icon and choose remove or uninstall. Your account still exists and you can keep using Joonow in the browser as usual.
