Joonow follows Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD). Here is a summary; the full text is in the privacy policy.

The essentials

  • You do not need an account to search for jobs. Public pages use no advertising or tracking cookies.
  • We do not sell personal data.
  • Your résumé only goes to a company when you apply to one of its jobs. From then on, the company is also responsible for that data.
  • AI search receives only the search text, without your account data. See AI search.

Your rights

Under the LGPD, you can ask at any time for:

  • confirmation that we process your data, and access to it;
  • correction of wrong or outdated data;
  • a copy of your data to take to another service (portability);
  • deletion of your data, including your whole account;
  • information about whom we share your data with;
  • withdrawal of consent, for example for email alerts.

How to make a request

Write to us through Contact us (topic Privacy and data requests), saying what you would like. We may ask you to confirm your identity to protect you. We reply within 15 days.

You can handle a lot yourself in your account: edit your profile, delete alerts and remove saved jobs. To delete everything, see delete account.

Cookies and data on your device

The only cookie on public pages stores your language, and it only appears when you switch languages. A few things are stored only in your browser, such as recent searches and the copy of pages the app uses offline. All of this is explained in the cookie policy.
